What is a
PIxel Ad Page anyway?
Pixel
ad pages are internet websites created specifically to
sell pixel ad space to
help you market your websites more affordably& often more effectively
than say, using standard text ads or other advertising
mediums. The pixels
are available in singular 100-pixel 'blocks' (each block measures 10x10
pixels). They are offered in units of single or multiples of ten sized
blocks such as the aforementioned
or for example four units would be 20 X20 or seven units would measure
40X30 etc. The cool part about pixel ads is that you can use graphics AND anchor
text plus your URL to gain more ranking in the search
engines with your ads than just plain old text ads provide for you.
When
you're ready to place your pixel ad with us, you
will choose and order the number of blocks (those 100-pixel units we
talked about above) that you need to make your graphic fit into or
vice versa (for example, I order the blocks I want first, and then I
create the graphic to match that size perfectly). The larger
group of blocks you order, the larger the initial advertising fee will
be, but when you divide what you spend by the number of years, then the
price gets pretty small compared to the exposure and the growing value
of inbound links these days.
You will
see most pixel homepages divided into 10,000 of these 100-pixel blocks
(hence
there are 1 million pixels in totality on each pixel ad page).
The reason for selling them in
100-pixel blocks or units is because anything smaller would be too
small to
display anything meaningful. A
single pixel is about the size of the
period at
the end of this sentence, for example. So you
can easily see
that
selling only one pixel would be rather futile for visibility or useful
promotional purposes
on any webpage.
How long
will my AffordaPixel™ Pixel Advertisement stay "live" on your
website?
Because
we
pre-paid the domain for a full two years, it doesn't even come up for
renewal until October of 2008! So basically, you are
guaranteedat
the least,
a full two years + (and my present goal is actually five
to ten years - I
renew two
years at a time usually) on
the site of virtually free advertising (as long as you don't breach the
T.O.S. during your sojourn with us. See Terms of Service)
We will see how
it goes from now until October of 2008. That still gives you over two
full years of prepaid, highly
valuable
inbound link advertising for a pittance! When we
renew the domain again, it will be until the year 2011 (that's
a lonnnnnnng time).
How
does it benefit me to have my website links posted here on your site?
You gain
incalculable
benefits. The
greatest of which is having a one-way incoming link to
your product or service for way less than you would pay for at one of
those speciaty sites that sell them would charge you for inbound links.
The
search engines LOVE one-way incoming links from quality
sites.
Our site and the sites that link to it are of high quality,
family-rated websites with good PR. We already had a PR2
before we
ever went "live" so you just wait and watch!
You
also gain the extra web
traffic for over two years (and our goal is much
longer) that cost you
only pennies if you divide out the value of the inbound link you get
as well as the curious visitors who happen by your site because you
advertised with us. Basically, you're getting an inbound link
for under a dollar a month over just the two year period. Pretty
affordable advertising!
That's why we named the site "AffordaPixel" because we give
you *very* affordable pixel advertising, starting as low as only 8 Cents/Pixel.
How
can I be sure you won't sell/allow *adult* advertising or other immoral
or illegal types of links here at some
point in time?
Because we investigate and approve each
and
every submission manually to assure ONLY quality
advertisers here, and
we
simply do not invite nor wil we ever allow adult content, pornography,
illegitimate
activity sites, terroristic sites, or any other illegal or immoral
websites to purchase advertising here. There isn't enough
money on the planet to change our minds on this, either, so those kinds
of clients need not bother asking us to bypass the regulations or make
exceptions.
You
can rest
assured, that we *will* endeavor to do our
utmost best to protect you and all of our valued customers from ever
sitting
side-by-side with any "unsavory" websites. If anyone tries to
bypass this or
breach the agreement, we will remove the offending link and give them a
week to change the link to something 'agreeable' with our terms, and if
they refuse, their link will be removed permanently and we will ban
them forever
from this site.
Furthermore,the recalcitrant
offender will lose whateverdollar amount
they had
invested in their link and it will
be considered a "charitable donation without refund" because the FAQ
& TOS files spell
out very clearly what is and is not allowed here on AffordaPixel.com so
there will be no
margin or tolerance for 'not understanding' the clearly stated
submission guidelines & rules.
We
established guidelines and submission rules because we are now and will
continue to remain a quality website that offers our advertisers a safe
and pleasant long-term advertising medium.
So, what kinds of websites ARE
allowed to post their graphics and links on AffordaPixel?
All quality, legal, moral,
artistic (more aptly
defines as"suitable
to be
viewed and/or read and visited by family members of all ages"without shocking,
frightening or offending them), creative,
business, and personal websites that meet our criteria and guidelines
will be accepted. Remember we do manually approve every
single link and graphic to assure that our website and only good
quality content and links will be maintained here at AffordaPixel.com
at all times.
Can I change my graphic and/or my URL
after I've posted my original ad?
Yes, you may
do this at no cost to you, but each
change is treated just like the original order, it must be RE-APPROVED
by management.
That means there will be a short delay of your ad's
viewability
and clickabilty regarding the NEW information you have input, though
the original information will still be as it was when you created your
ad until we approve and publish your changes (usually under 24 hours
turnaround time).
Here's the message you will see
when you
either upload a new graphic or you change the link or the link text in
your client area: "Thank
you, your changes were submitted, and will be published once they are
approved!"
So
that is a secondary assurance for you that nobody can change their
graphic or url to something unsavory without administration approving
it. If they change the destination url with some other
method, we
will simply delete their account and ban them from this site as
aforementioned.
In this way, you are
continually assured
of quality, family-oriented websites appearing on AffordaPixel.com.
There are plenty of other places for 'unsavory' advertisers
to
get their ads posted so they won't be right next to yours and mine.
